I've been working on some fun stuff lately. Getting back to using some maps. I have a thing about maps, not sure what that is!
We had a great Thanksgiving with our family and now just making it to Christmas when we can breath a sigh of relief/relaxation.
Here is a great photographer in the Milwaukee area, check it out! http://www.semphotography.com

Mathew last year around Christmas. He was very puffy from the steroids. Now the puffiness is gone but he sure is hairy! That is a side affect of the new medicine- Neoral. Thank god he has gone into remission, we pray that this continues.... Picture 1 is how he looks now. He is a lot happier. So is sassmama:)

LUCKY CAR CHARMS
MJ and I have been working very hard to get these finished and online. He has spent many hours taking his toys apart! When he first went on steroids over a year ago, it made him very angry and moody. His body puffed up all over and it hurt to even get a hug. He enjoyed taking his toys apart with a screwdriver and I felt it was a positive thing that would teach him how things work so I encouraged it. When it started to get out of hand I made the rule that each toy taken apart would have to be made into art and thats what we did.
Now we spend hours painting and glittering the pieces, I then use the Reiki energy to infuse them with positive energy. MJ says that everything we make is made with LOVE and this is the truth.
MJ has been off the steroids now for a couple of months. The puffiness has gone down and his temper has gotten better. He still has a lot of medicine to take currently he is on Neoral, and a high blood pressure med. They consider him to be in remission which means that the kidneys are not getting worse, but they will not get better. He has FSGS which is scarring tissue and a transplant may be needed in 3-5 years if he does not stay in remission.
He knows he can't have sugar, that is hard for a 4 yr. old. He also has to watch his salt intake and knows how to look at the labels on everything.
Doing art and being creative helps MJ to keep his mind focused on positive things.
I hope you like the pieces, thank you for looking.
